House of Afro Boho is a family-owned business that includes my mom Linda and myself, Robin.

We started HOAB due to our love for art, world traveling, and antique and estate shopping.

Since I was a little girl, my mom has always exposed me to the African diaspora through art and culture.

As I grew into adulthood we together discovered that our African roots run deep throughout the world.

We began to collect unique pieces that represent that diversity and consider ourselves Taste Makers of Afro Bohemian Décor.

Name Your Price Items

A "Name Your Price" item is just what it sounds like, you have the power to suggest the price you are willing to pay for an item.

Here are the simple steps to follow:

  1. Search the "Name Your Price" category and select an item.
  2. Click the "Name Your Price" button.
  3. Enter your Name, email, and the suggested price in the message area.

Once we review your request, we will follow up via email if your price was accepted or not.

If your price is accepted, we will give you instructions on how to purchase the item.

It's just that simple!

Pick Up Items

ATL "Pick-Up" Items are for local customers who prefer to schedule a time to pick up their items and to pay in person.

Here are the simple steps to follow:

  • Search the items in the "Pick Up" items category. 
  • Click the "Pick Up" item button. 
  • You will be prompted to call us at 513.655.9546. On the call, you can provide us with the item # that you wish to purchase and schedule a time for pick-up.
  • We only accept the following payments of Cash, Cash App, or PayPal/Venmo at the time of pick-up. 

Please note, that if you schedule a time for a pickup and do not show up for an appointment, you will no longer be able to use this service on our site.

Item Condition Descriptions

Due to the nature of our business, and how we acquire our items, below are our Item/ Product Descriptions, and Condition Guidelines:

Brand New:

New condition with no cosmetic defects

Excellent:

Shows typical, although minor, signs of wear. 

EX: A minor scratch that isn't noticeable to the visible eye.

Very Good:

Considered presentable, but has had some minor repairs to the surface.

EX: A chip on an item that has been retouched by paint.

Poor:

Shows significant signs of wear and needs attention to restore it to a very good condition.

EX: Visible marks, scratches, or chips that have NOT been addressed or repaired.

Please read posted condition descriptions and review all pictures before purchasing an item that is not considered NEW.

We do not accept returns.

On our website, we accept:

Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover, Paypal, and GooglePay.

For onsite pick-ups, we accept:

Cash, Cashapp, and Venmo/Paypal.

For our Auctions, we accept:

Paypal.

Return Policy

We will make every effort to describe items as accurately as possible.  Please review our "item description" clause before purchasing on our site.

Due to the nature of our business, expect normal signs of wear associated with vintage, antiques, and gently used items.

All items are sold "AS IS" and we do not issue refunds or except returns.  

See our shipping policy for items that are received through the mail damaged.

Shipping Policy

After you make a purchase, you will receive a confirmation email immediately. If you do not receive one, please contact hoab@august-day.com.

 

On some occasions, the email goes to the spam box, or an incorrect email was accidentally entered during the purchase process.

 

The next step is a shipping label is created, and a tracking number will be sent to you. This process can take up to 3 business days.

 

The shipping time is based on when the USPS picks up orders. House of Afro Boho has no control over package arrival time once the item is picked up by USPS. The courier assumes responsibility for the packages once they are picked up from us.

 

We are also not responsible for stolen, lost, or damaged items. We require all items to carry insurance based on the purchased amount due to the nature of our business and the fragility of most of our items.

 

Please confirm your correct address and important contact information during checkout. We are not responsible for packages delivered to incomplete, wrong, or insufficient addresses provided during check out.

 

Below is the circumstance that requires you to file a claim directly with USPS:

Your package is marked as “delivered” and you did not receive it. Also, any package that is marked as “Abandoned” is not eligible for insurance claims.

 

If you receive a damaged item, please send us an email at orders@august-day.com with a picture and details of the damages.

 

All items are insured, so we will send you instructions on how to file a claim.
